About this deal

Most paddling pool repair patches need to be fixed to a dry surface and the pressure of the water or air will also cause extra pressure which may prevent the patch from adhering fully.

There are two types of holes that can appear in a paddling pool. The first is one that lets the water out and the second is one that lets air out and causes the pool to deflate. Google: Google's policy requires identification of each party that receives end users’ personal data as a consequence of using a Google product. Google also requires prominent and easily accessible information about the use of end users’ personal data. We have published information about Google’s uses of information on this link The first part of fixing a hole in a paddling pool is finding where the hole is located. Finding a hole that is letting water out is quite simple, you just need to look to see where water is escaping. This is normal. The pool will bend inwards until the pool has been filled up to 80% capacity. Please see the pool manual for more detailed information and images. Whether you have an Intex paddling pool, Bestway paddling pool or another popular make of paddling pool. Finding and fixing a hole couldn’t be easier. Finding the Hole in your Paddling PoolTo locate the puncture on an inflatable liner it is best to apply diluted washing up liquid from a spray bottle to the surface of the whole liner and around the inflation valve. Bubbles should appear where the puncture is located. Mould can occur if the pool is not completely dry when folded or put away. Humidity and dampness can cause mould to grow due to stagnant water. First, you need to find the hole in the paddling pool, and then you can fix it using a suitable paddling pool repair kit.

To fix a puncture you will require a repair kit. We would suggest using a waterproof repair patch or epoxy vinyl glue. Products such as washing detergent, moisturiser, deodorant, make-up, sun lotion or fake tan can cause discolouration. We would suggest showering before using the pool to avoid this. If the problem does occur you can use washing up liquid, stain remover or miracle pads to remove stains or marks. If the hole is located in an area away from water for example in the top ring of your pool then you may be able to get away with not emptying or not completely emptying your pool. If the hole is not in the air ring but is allowing water out then you must drain your paddling pool before you apply the repair patch. We would not advise that the pool is left in direct sunlight. We would suggest setting the pool up in a shaded spot or using a gazebo or canopy to help protect the pool.

Duct tape will last slightly longer than sellotape and parcel tape but will still not last very long. You may get a couple of uses out of your paddling pool with duct tape on it but you’ll find that your time will be wasted in the long run. Parcel tape can be a little better than sellotape but it will fail to work on the same principle as neither like water and will fail in a short period of time. The following steps will guide you through how to fix a hole in a paddling pool. As long as you follow the steps you will find any hole fairly simple to repair. Try not to allow any air bubbles to form as this will affect the bonding over longer periods of time. This is normally caused either by the pool not being set up on flat level ground or someone standing or leaning on the frame of the pool. We would suggest moving the pool to a more suitable location. We would also advise that you do not stand on the frame of the pool, the ladder must be used for entering and exiting the pool. This type of damage is not covered under the manufacturer’s warranty so you may need to replace parts.Deflate the liner slightly to eliminate the bulging. Please be aware changes in the ambient temperature outside will cause the air inside the liner to expand or contract. On hot summer days we would suggest deflating the pool ring slightly. On colder winter days you may notice the liner looks a little soft and needs some more air.
