(Image: Andrew Nuttall / North Wales Live) Dairy Fine Mini Eggs Chunky Bar - 225g (a great alternative to the Cadbury's Mini Eggs Bar which is now a 'may contain' for gluten)Also, Easter eggs sometimes feature other bits and bobs such as biscuit or wafer pieces which will contain gluten. A few Lindt easter eggs are gluten free this year. Lindt claim that Lindors which contain barley are below the 20ppm threshold and are safe for Coeliacs, therefore I have included them but I have asterisks(*), use your on judgement on whether you feel safe eating them or not. Only the white chocolate eggs do not contain barley in the Lindor range. There isn’t as much on offer for us as there is in Tesco, but you will spot a few eggs here that you won’t find outside of Sainsburys so it’s definitely worth a look. If you are shopping at Asda this year there are a few gluten free choices in easter eggs you can choice from though most of them are part of the free from range so dairy free too. There’s a Cadbury’s Caramel Egg in this post that’s gluten-free. BUT other Cadbury’s Dairy Milk Caramel eggs (which come with a bar and have the extra text ‘Dairy Milk’ on the front) are NOT gluten-free. Generally, most of these eggs are found in the seasonal aisle of supermarkets, but you will often find the gluten-free and dairy-free eggs down the free from aisle. As I mentioned, most of these are down the seasonal Easter aisle so it can be a literal Easter egg hunt to find the right ones. So make sure you allow yourself enough time to make sure you’ve got the ones pictured which are safe for us to eat.
