About this deal

You can make any quantity of this hazelnut liqueur recipe, but keep the proportions of 4/5ths vodka to 1/5th brandy. Shaped like a monk's habit, with a traditional rope belt around its waist, it is a guarantee of authenticity and quality that links the past right throught to the present day. And I have plans to pour it over some little sponges for a hazelnut-themed trifle at some stage in the very near future. Hazelnut liqueur will benefit from being left to mature for another couple of months after bottling.

Produced in the Piedmont region of northern Italy, its origins date back more than 300 years to the presence of early Christian monks living in the hills of the area. Elevate beyond the every day and find in Frangelico a sophisticated cocktail to heighten that moment with friends. Like other nuts, hazelnuts are rich in nutrients and have a high content of protein, fats, vitamins and minerals. If the vintage of a wine is important to you then please leave a note at checkout advising us of this.Leave to infuse for at least one month in a cool, dark place, giving the jar a shake when you remember. Our 5cl bottle contains 2 shots of Hazelnut Liqueur – just enough to enjoy over ice or to sip with a latte or hot chocolate.

Their skills in fine food and drink would have included the wild hazelnuts and other local ingredients to create a liqueur on which Frangelico is based today.Toasted wild hazelnuts combined with cocoa, vanilla berries and other natural extracts make up its complex flavour.

Frangelico is a delicious hazelnut liqueur that's perfect for sipping on its own or using in cocktails. Made with the unique Italian 'Tonda Gentile' nut, that are known for being bigger, rounder and sweeter. Homemade hazelnut liqueur has a clean nutty flavor that's stronger and more natural-tasting than its commercial counterparts. They even play a part in our mythology, with the Celts believing that eating hazelnuts gave one wisdom and inspiration. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice.Frangelico is made from the local hazelnuts of the region, which they claim are the best of their kind.
